It's kind of grown on me, and I know my dad likes having that name. Also, the kid will be unlikely to run into another Albert any time soon, since he will have been born after 1929! I really like going to the social security website and looking up the most popular names of the 20s and 30s. So many Mabels! Good luck with naming! I like to think of all the parents who sweat and toiled over their children's names, only for the kids to end up with nicknames like 'Stubbs' and 'Doodle'.
