First off, congratulations on realizing that a base of unspeakable evil is 100% necessary to world domination.
Although the far side of the Moon and a deep underwater bunker are ambitious locations that are have the benefit of being free, suitably devious and relatively difficult to raze, pillage or conquer, I would advise against selecting a base lacking the more basic amenities, such as an easily renewable supply of air.
The good news is that you don’t have to wait for the perfect time and place to begin your world takeover. It’s always the right time for conquest! In fact, in this crazy age of online media, it is increasingly easy to begin, whether you are working from a secret hovercraft circling the skies of eastern Europe or from a study carrel in your local library.
What can you do from a study carrel? Start creating an evil base of power. Posting on someone else’s blog is a good start. Go to Alltop.com to browse blogs by category, sign up for twitter, Digg.com, Facebook or LinkedIn. The result? A portable, virtual base of operations, evil or otherwise.

Ah, yes, the secret base! I have constructed mine deep in the woods of Maine, far enough from civilization to be safe, but with plenty of fresh air and water to survive a siege if the men from U.N.C.L.E. come sniffing around.
Ah, excellent planning. It’s always crucial to lay plans for a siege. You just never know. ;-P
I had not heard of U.N.C.L.E., but I looked them up, and THRUSH seems to be right up my alley. Great website, by the way – I am always looking for tips on how to be more productive, and as my job is entirely project-based, sometimes staying organized can be a bit of a challenge.
